Wayne Christian In 1987, after gaining valuable experience in business, banking and real estate, Wayne and Lisa Christian opened Wayne Christian Financial Services. With more than forty years of experience in the banking, real estate, insurance and financial services industries, Wayne is the senior advisor at Wayne Christian Financial Services and provides one-on-one counsel to clients to determine their needs and aligning those with investment advice.
Wayne graduated from high school as valedictorian, and went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in General Business in 1973. After college, Wayne found success in the music industry with his country/gospel band, the Mercy River Boys and went on to be finalist for a Grammy Award in 1979.
Wayne is a former state legislator from East Texas and in 2016, Wayne was elected to the Texas Railroad Commission. Because of modern technology, Wayne will still be able to work with clients doing what he does best. Wayne's motto since founding the firm has been, "Helping Workin' Folk Achieve Their American Dreams."
Wayne has been married to his wife Lisa for more than 40 years, and they have three daughters Liza, Lindsey, and Lauren. Together, they are members of the First Baptist Church in Center, where he has served as a member of the Texas Baptist Men’s Laity Board. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Shelby County Senior Citizen Corporation of Texas and is a member of the Lion’s Club.
